| | Black and White Wedding | | Here in the Philippines, we believe that black should not be worn if you were to attend a wedding. Especially for girls, who will play part of the ceremony.When we distributed our invites, everyone asked us "are you serious?" not because of us getting married but because our theme was black and white. | so. why do some people think non virgins have no right to marry in white? | | because it's just a colour. no one OWNS it. if you're getting married, it's your special day, and you should wear WHATEVER colour you want, regardless of what your sexual status is. while I have no desire to marry in white (doesn't suit me) I have just as much right to marry in white as a virgin does, if that's what I wanted to wear. so why do people say things like "oh, who does she think she's kidding, in white!" or "oh, of course you won't be marrying in white" why the hell not?it's your day. your choice. your special dress. no one has any right to tell you you can't wear a colour just because you have had sex. it's no one's business. it's a silly and outdated idea, and people should just grow up and leave people to choose whatever suits them. | |
