My husband and I are planning to re-do our wedding ceremony when he returns from Iraq on our anniversary after his return. I am quite nervous because he is insisting on writing our own vows. Our wedding was quite hurried because of his impending deployment and we got married on his lunch break. He in his ACU's and I in a black suit. He says he really wants to write from the heart how he feels and the standard vows don't cover that. So, I have never done this and am not very creative when it comes to this. Any ideas? I am brain dead, but I want to make it really special. I just get so nervous when it comes to things like this.
Traditional or Personalized Wedding vows? Do you prefer traditional wedding vows or would you rather prepare your own wedding vows and state those during the ceremony? More and more, I notice that couples would rather prepare their own vows now. What about you?
