| Have you ever been the maid of honor or the best man? | | It is a honor to be the maid of honor or the Best Man. I have been a maid of honor at the wedding party twice. The first time is when my sister got married when i was still a senior hight student; i was so excited then because it was my first time to be a maid of honor and also i was happy for my sister who finally got married. Thats a nice momory. The second time is for my senior hight classnate's wedding. She is my best friend and classmate so i was invited to be her maid of honor and i accepted without any hesitation. It was also a nice memory.As the maid of homor you could share the happiness with them and witness their wedding from the very beginning to the end which is such a wonderful thing.I am wondering how many of you here have ever been the maid of honor or the best men. | | Best man speech | | I have a friend that I had fallen out of contact with. We grew up together as kids but once we hit the teen years we only saw each other once a year. After I reached the age of an adult i ceased having contact with him all together. We just didn't really have much in common to keep us hanging out. For some reason a couple months ago he called me up asking me to be one of two best men and i said yes out of courtesy. My question is how to I give a speech with passion when the subject of the speech I don't really know too well(and have great amounts of apathy towards)? | |

| does the best man have to give a speech or a toast at a wedding reception? | | that is the tradition..its been my experience,that it is also acceptable for the maid of honor to do it. If its your wedding,you can have it set up however you would like,i have been to a wedding,that do not follow the normal tradition and they have been wonderful. If you do not want people to give a speech,do dances and play wedding games,it is perfectly fine.. | |
| | Meet the best man. | | We have some strange ways here in Greece and one of them involves suddenly forming relationships which once made are life lasting and taken with the utmost seriousness. So I now have a new Koubaros, which loosley translated means 'best man'. Which now makes me his 'Koubara'. From now on we will no longer address each other by name but by title. The long and the short of it is that if I ever choose to marry, my new Koubaros will 'marry me'. That is not to say we will marry each other but he would now stand at my side in the place of honour and be the most important person there, though no one else need be there. Most Greeks have a koubaros.I did agree to it though as one is not allowed to marry ones koubaros so at least I don't have to keep turning my friend down on a weekly basis. Phew. How to reject and keep friends at the same time, Greek style. I may as well reveal that the new Koubaros is the lobster fisherman, destined to be the new avatar.So any strange things like this in your culture, or sudden relationships which mean a lot in a traditional sense, or anything else you want to chat about? | |

| who cooks best----man or woman? | | they say man makes delicious foods so they say man cooks best than a woman...and i agree.why? most chefs in big hotels and restaurants are males they prepare good menus and artistic in their own way.i cant recall seeing a female chefs,maybe there are but only few,mostly the chefs i saw on television are all males and they're really good...but i have second thoughts now,its becoz females are the one who cook in the house and in fairness to us girls..hehehe,woman also makes good food and tastes delicious too.in our house im the one who cook its not that my husband doesnt know how,but he's not a good cook either.:) and one thing,my mom also is a good cook but not my father..very confusing huh?! in your point of views who's the good one? is it the man or the woman?:) | |

| I have the BEST man in the world!!!! WHAT ABOUT YOURS? | | Let me share a little something about my sweetheart. My man is awesome. I have been working 2 full time jobs. I havent seen much of him or the girls in the last week. I come home from doing a double and find my room cleaned, the dog and cat fed, everything was perfect. I couldnt believe how thoughtful he had been. THe next day I had the day off. Trust me when I tell you I was exhausted.I wake and he says get dressed we are going to the mall. Of course, me being my bratty I start complaining and whining about how I dont want to go. Well anyways, we get there and I am sitting there pouting. My sweetheart looks at me and says get whatever you want. I was so happy! He is such a good man. He looked at me and said You deserve it mamita. I love him soooo much.
